Cambridge Memories Programme – Programme 3 at 8:30pm

Cambridge Memories is an ongoing project by the Cambridge Super 8 Group, the long term aim of which is to create a living archive of films with a local and regional focus. Our small but growing collection includes family home movies and found footage films that have been kindly donated to the group or discovered in charity shops, house clearances, car boot sales, and online marketplaces. The archive has been presented at local screenings, shows and International Home Movie Day events.

For this screening , we will be projecting original Super 8mm footage of Clare College students (c1974-76), family footage from Ely (1969-70), street scenes of Norwich (1978), and scenes of King’s Lynn from the 1950s shot in colour and black and white.

We welcome contact from people with local interest films who would be willing to share their stories, and donations of any unwanted films. We can also advise on film preservation and digital transfer.
