At Smiths Row Gallery in Bury st Edmunds from the 19th of January to 23rd of March 2013

From iconic film-maker Derek Jarman through to contemporary visual artists including Giovanna Maria Casetta, Flicker will explore how analogue film, through its preservation and continued practice as a moving-image medium, remains a rich source of cultural heritage and creative practice in our digital age.

The full list of exhibiting artists also includes: Maite Abella, Salvatore Bevilacqua, Dagie Brundert, Colin Dewar, Fjodor Donderer, Frank “Benjamin” Finger, Dalia Huerta Cano, Dimitri Lurie, mobileskino, Davide Pepe, Tom Scott, Kyle Whitehead and Naren Wilks.

 Curators Tour – Flicker: Artists & Super 8 / Friday 25th of Jan 2013

Hear about the artists and films in the exhibition through a guided tour led by Co-Curators of Flicker, Chris Mizsak (Cambridge Super 8 Group) and Rosie Grieve (Smiths Row). Learn, through the works of 15 UK and international artists about the relevance of the Super 8 medium within contemporary culture today.
